Most members and guests spend about 1-3 hours climbing, which may include some rest time and occasional game of ping pong or foosball!
We offer bouldering, top rope, and lead climbing!
Bouldering is a type of rock climbing that is done without the use of ropes or harnesses, typically on shorter walls no higher than 10 to 20 feet (3 to 6 meters). Instead of harnesses, thick crash pads (called mats) are used on the ground to cushion falls.
Top rope climbing is a style of rock climbing where the climber is securely attached to a rope that passes through an anchor point at the top of the climbing route. The rope is managed by a belayer at the bottom, who takes in slack and keeps the rope taut as the climber ascends. If the climber falls, the belayer stops the fall by an auto-locking belay device.
Lead climbing is a more advanced style of climbing in which the climber ascends a route while carrying the rope with them, clipping it into anchors (called quickdraws) as they climb. Unlike top rope climbing, where the rope is already anchored at the top, in lead climbing, the climber is responsible for securing the rope as they progress.
